Literature Text

As blood sprays the ground,
I stand,
Gun in hand.

All I see is death,
Now that I'm here,
I'm in this war.

Blood and limbs flying.
I am surrounded
With the shouts of death and pain.

I close my eyes to wonder,
I close my eyes to think;
A sudden chill over comes me,
A sudden silence falls.

           We'll never be heard,
           until we speak,
           Nothing will end,
           until we shout.

           People die,
           for others to live.
           People live,
           having seen others die.

           We'll never be heard,
           until we speak.
           Nothing will end,
           until we shout.

A drip of blood,
pulsing from my heart.
I fall to the ground,
clutching my chest.

The gun I've regretted,
Drops down by my side,
The pain that I've felt,
Slowly fades from my mind.

I fall,
dead and motionless.

          One more ribbon,
          hanging from a mother's door,
          One more funeral,
          for friends to attend.

          We'll never be heard,
          until we speak.
          Nothing will end,
          until we shout.
Well, I needed to write something for our publishing party piece in Lang. arts/english and this is what I can up with.

For some info the bold is a soldier at war and the italics is a protester, protesting the war.

I can up with the we'll never be heard until we speak sitting in my room, and I decided to write a poem around it.

Please Please Please let me know if it's horrible or great or okay. critique is most definitely welcome.
